  23. 1) You only low level format a hard disk if you are a) brain damaged, b) ready
  24. to write off the drive if the format fails for any reason, c) know ***VERY***
  25. well what you are doing and why.

  27. 2) What happens when you use the AmigaDOS "Format" command? If that fails I'd
  28. suspect there is something seriously wrong with your controller software.
  29.  
  30. 3) If you are going to work this recovery you will have to do it on a "virgin"
  31. system, one without anything other than "setpatch" running. If you can delete
  32. all the files and they come back on reboot then there is something very odd
  33. about your setup or you are not really doing what you think you are doing.
